$500.00 Reward Offered for a Missing Word


Friday Harbor, Washington : A $500.00 cash award is being offered by Institute of Global Education in a "What's the Good Word" contest. The Contest challenges its participants to discover or create the most effective word or term that helps produce balanced relationships between people and Planet Earth. It is sponsored by Project NatureConnect, the environment-psychology program of the Institute of Global Education, a special NGO consultant to the United Nations Social and Economic Council. Contestants may enter the competition by email or postal mail during, or for the year following, Earth Week April 18-25, 1999. Results will be announced on Earthday 2000.

The originator of the Contest, Dr. Michael J. Cohen, an ecopsychologist who directs Project NatureConnect says "There is a greater reward than the money in this Contest. People will be able to learn the secret word, once found. When put into use, it will help many individuals find greater personal balance. The environment and prospects for peace will improve as well."

Pulitzer-Prize winning sociobiologist Dr. Edward O. Wilson, of Harvard, affirms that people have an inherent biological need to be in balance with Earth. He says Nature holds the key to our aesthetic, intellectual, cognitive, and even spiritual satisfaction.
