The Goddesses of the Americas are calling the Goddesses of the globe. Ixchel, the Mayan Earth Goddess, invites you to wake the feminine energy of love and compassion. Guadalupe, Queen of Heaven, Earth, Mexico and the Americas invites you to celebrate her feast day, December 12. The most powerful time for the divine feminine in the western hemisphere. Five hundred years ago, Guadalupe appeared at the sacred hill in Mexico City of Tonantzin, the dark Earth Mother of the Aztecs. Ixchel, Guadalupe and Tonantzin invite you to open the sacred path to the New Millenium with direct expereince of riual and ceremony!

Re-emember Ixchel in her sacred places. Share your stories and Ixchel's. Learn Pre-Hispanic sacred ceremony. Work with meditation, sound and movement for both personal and worldwide harmony and balance. Rekindle the sacred fire of feminine energy in ritual and in our souls. Ceremonies unite women in the re- emergence of the divine feminine, self empowerment and worldwide healing.

Our pilgrimage begins in Puerto Morelos, 20 miles south of Cancun, where ancient Mayan women came to prepare themselves before in an opening ritual. We learn from wise women facilitators about the Goddesses of Mexico, yoga, art, healing and transformation. We cleanse our bodies in a Mayan sweat lodge and initiate ourselves with her sacred waters in a jungle cenote. We prepare for the jounrye to Ixchel's islands by learning songs, indigineous dances. We receive our huipiles, ritual Mayan dresses. We visit the Mayan women's Center. Finding sacred circle of women and the Ancient Mothers to feel and share wisdom and love.

CONFERENCE PRESENTERS


VICKI NOBLE: The creator of the Mother Peace tarot cards and Mother of Peace School of Healing Arts in Oakland, Ca. Vicki publiches a magazine Snake: A Journal of Contemporary Female Shamanism and is the author of a handbook for women healers, Shakti Women: Feeling Our Fire, healing Our

World. Vicki travels internationally teaching female shamanism and healing arts. She will be teaching us Transformational Healing Ritual which acts as a powerful demonstration of vibrational medicine and the visible forces channeled by humans through hands and hearts for healing tissue, emotions and mental processes.

LYDIA RUYLE: The Ancient Mothers have been calling Lydia for fifteen years. As an artist and a scholar of the Goddess, Lydia creates spirit banners of the divine feminine from the many cultures of the world. The banners have circled the globe in hundreds of exhibitions and will fly at the conference spreading their healing energies. The Goddesses of Mexico have been her focus for the last year. Lydia is the facilitator, owner of YA-YA journeys spiritual pilgrimages for women to sacred places. Since 1993 several hundred women have traveled with her to England, Wales & Cornwall, Turkey. France, Germany, Greece, Mexico, Peru, Hawaii and the Southwestern U.S. Lydia teaches a course titled Herstory of the Goddess at the University of Northern Colorado.

CECILIA CORORAN, PHD: Cecilia is Director of Goddess GATE, Global Awareness Through Experience, in Mexico City. A mystical experience at the ancient ceremonial site of Cuicuilco led Cecilia into doctoral research centered on the Goddesses of Central Mexico. Cecy cults and teaches the stories from Mexican mythology of Coatique, Coyolxauhqui, Chalchiuhtlicue, Tonontzin, predessors of the Great Mother Guadalupe to explore the contemporary inner search for the Female Divine. As a Franciscan Sister, Cecilia also intergrates ancient wisdom with Christian feminist spirituality.

LESLIE MCINTYRE: a mother, "shemamma" (feminist shamanic practioner) singer, ritualist and midwife to the dying. She was invited into the White Swan Circle by the women elders of the traditon of Medicine Woman Evelyn Eaton 8 years ago to carry the sacred pipe teachings of White Buffalo Calf Woman and received their blessings to be a Medicine Keeper of the Sweat Lodge for women. She will be teaching the art of creating sacred space and the shamanic practice of women serving as a living oracle and facilitate connection with ancestral grandmothers throuhg movement and dance.

MJ BINDU DELEKTA AND JUNE LOCKLIN: MJ Bindu is Director of Poppsquash Rainbow Center for Yoga and ways of Being in Rhode Island. She created the Sacred Circle of Yoga audio tape and leads Sacred Cirlce of Yoga and retreats in Maine and Mexico. June Locklin teaches Yoga and leads retreats in Maine. MJ and June have joined their energies for this merging of the Goddess conference to bring you passion for Yoga they have.

ANA GONZALES URIZAR IXCHEL: Ana is K'iche Mayan and an independnt Researcher on Popol Vuh, and also excavates pottery at Tikal in Guatamala each year. She was forced to leave her homeland when members of her family were killed by the military. As a Mayan, Ana had not been allowed to go to the University there, but was able to get her education

when she fled, studied in Germany, and now lives in the U.S. and has a family. She lectures throughtout the U.S. She received her name Ixchel when she turned 51 in a sacred ceremony.

MJ BINDU DELEKTA AND JUNE LOCKLIN (YOGA WOMEN)
MJ Bindu Delekta is Director of Poppasquash Rainbow Center for Yoga and ways of Being in Rhode Island. She created the Sacred Circle of Yoga audio tape and leads Sacred Circle of Yoga Retreats in mexico. June Locklin teaches Yoga & leads retreats in Maine. MJ & June have joined their energies for this merging of the Goddess Conference to bring you the passion for Yoga they have.

EMILIA MENENDEZ: At 17 years old, Emilia was received in sacred ceremony of Quetzacoatl in Coastepec, Veracruz with shaman Maria Sabina. She was in communion with the Sierra Mixteca, Oaxaca and has lived with the Yaquis indians in Sonora and has participated in ceremony with the Tarascan indians of Michoacan and the Huicholes of Nayarit. She has traveled extensively in Latin America participating with the Yanonmita indians of the Amazon and the Macumbas in Brazil. She is Captain of "Los Concehros" in Puerto Morelos, a Pre-Hispanic earth dance group.

SANDRA A. DAYTON: She has been living in Mexico for 25 years working with the indigineous people. She is owner of Maya Echo, and leads spiritual day journeys into the jungle and Mayan communites. She is co-founder of a non-profit organization, Lu'um K'aanab She began.dancing 8 years ago learning the sacred Pre-Hispanic dances and ceremonies.

In the spring of "95" while in a meditation circle with a group of women, she had a vision of modern day women in pilgrimage. She went to Cozumel to Ixchel's sanctuary where she heard Ixchel's call. She realized her calling and now facilitates Goddess Journeys and is re-opening the sacred path of Ixchel. A Mayan spiritual leader heard about her work and in a sunrise ceremony last winter gave her his blessing. Sandra is now putting her energies into creating a Mayan Women's Center in the jungle to support the Maya women in the area. Hunbatz-men, A Mayan spiritual leader in the Yucatan, heard about her work and came to visit her last winter. In a sun rise ceremony he gave her permission to begin The Maya Mysteries School Ixchel . Sandra is now putting her energies into creating a Maya Women's Center in the jungle to support the Maya women in the area.

Package cost: $1,150 dllrs. Includes double occupany 7 nights;
daily breakfasts and lunches; welcome and farewell dinners; yoga;
ceremonial huipil; Full day trips to Isla Mujeres, Cozumel;
Maya village and sweat lodge & all conference day activities.

Recommended items to be packed for your daily activities: camera,
sunglasses, sunhat or cap, comfortable shoes, bathing suit,
towel, casual clothing, insect repellant. Also for ceremonies; drums, bells,
