In view of recent discussions on the above topics, does anyone have any views or information on local historical and religious traditions, such as the 'Holy Kingdom' of Arthur in South Wales, publicised in a recent book of that name.

This seems to involve lots of local feelings, traditions of Celtic and Roman Christianity, suppression and disputed interpretation of historical evidence, rivalry and jealousy between different regions of Wales, varieties of nationalism and disputes with and between establishment academics and organisations, and of course a chip on the shoulder attitude towards the English. The researchers, Alan Wilson and Baram Blackett have written several books detailing local Arthurian associations and geneologies.

There is a review of the most recent book 'The Holy Kingdom' at the site http://britishbooks.stores.yahoo.com/britishbooks/2362.html There is an outline of the discoveries on the site http://freespace.virgin.net/david.ford2/mynydd.html

Regards,
Wilson Bertram.
